  • I had the pleasure of visiting this natural history museum during my holiday in Sofia. The price of admission is really cheap. Just 4Lev (2) is allowed a visit from this rich natural Museum focuses on floors, where we can find the most varied animal species: reptiles, fish, amphibians, mammals, cats, insects, molluscs etc.. In addition there are also mineral lovers richest sections, which are also presented with the adjacent molecular construction. A Museum for fans and to bring interest children, definitely fascinated by the creatures you will find.

  • by chance in this Museum, the insanely low price made me decide to take it for a spin (2) and won me over with his charm from "Museum", with the ingenuity that we are no longer used, spoiled as we are from today's museums interactivity and multimedia. Ingenuity such as poor lighting, which penalizes the use of exhibits ... on descriptive tags (with handwritten calligraphy by manual) the lack of translations, at least in English about a lot of things ... the poor embalming of animals (involuntary taking comic expressions) displayed in dioramas "approximate" in the most recent remodelling and slow degradation to which are abandoned the dusty rooms (some with a smell quite annoying, and it was December, I dare not imagine in August!). staff somewhat grumpy, perhaps because of the language barrier (they speak only Bulgarian) then failed to ask questions or insights. However, if you "goes beyond" all this, you can enjoy the charm a little melancholy about what its golden era that must have been a place of wonders for its visitors ... given the small size of the city's attractions, definitely worth visiting!

  • If you want to see a rock from the moon this is the place. A great selection of minerals and precious stones with detailed description about their properties: in particular what are they build from and under what circumstances do they develop in the nature. The museum is old, though good maintained. Some of the artefacts are missing English description. Perfect for children interested in nature. Hint: sometimes in the weekend there are workshops for children (>6 years) on different themes: space, nature, etc.
  • The collection of quartz and other precious and mineral rocks was impressive. I didn't like much the animals but for a kid they would be something cool.
  • If your kids likes the zoo bring them here. They either will become more curious about the wildlife or will be frightened by the stuffed animals. Either way you win!
  • Been there 5 times. Quite unfortunately, the lack of money and motivated staff is a glaring problem there.
  • Went there with my girlfriend, amazing exponents. Great for taking your children.Stuffed animals and lots of minerals to see.Too bad they removed the live animals.
