  • Museum to get taxi slightly out of the Centre. And costs 8 lev you can see the weapons in the inner garden (there are already some front for which you don't need a ticket but do not be betrayed by tirchiaggine because inside there are many more and very beautiful) and various uniforms and weapons throughout the Bulgarian military history that follow a chronological path retracing the various stages up to the present day (written in English if you want to read some history) on the top floor there is a temporary exhibition with other weapons and uniforms at a cost of 4 lev in addition, personally I tried it and I was sorry but you can also do without. The guard at the entrance to which made us as an interpreter to the cashier and she suggested and explained the layout of the Museum. I recommend it strongly because the means of war are gorgeous and they'll soak in the scenery of war (planes, tanks, rocket launchers, helicopter gunships and other means all very well preserved)

  • For fans is a complete and well maintained Museum. We got there comfortably by taxi, because they are very cheap, the cost of entry is of 5 € per person. You are greeted by numerous tanks and some aircraft, but inside is a garden full of military means. truly recommended!

  • The museum is one of the largest ones in Europe and has a very extensive collection of military vehicles, flags and weapons. Definitely should be on everyone's itinerary!

  • Very interesting museum. A must see for anyone with an interest in military history. There's a great selection of contemporary military equipment in the gardens, but I especially liked the indoor museum. Every time period is covered and all the texts are bilingual (Bulgarian/English). The staffs English skills however were rudimentary. They also annoyed me by following me around (I was the only visitor & the probably were bored).
  • This museum is so much more than "just" a national military museum; it runs from the Thracian era to the present time. The external exhibits are great examples of some rare tanks for instance the Pz 38H (the German upgrade of captured French Hotchkiss H38 tanks). Inside, and arranged chronologically, are items from every era of Bulgarian history and an especially good selection of items from the war of independence (including uniforms and affects from most of the famous Bulgarian revolutionaries) and second world war. Almost all of the inscriptions are translated and the only drawback is that there is not a audio guide to give you all of the nuances.
  • Great pieces of history but when I went it was empty and the wardens followed me round the musuem, I guess incase I stole stuff or I don't know. Not friendly people.
  • Museum is must see for all who are even remotely interested in military or anyone who plays shooting or tank video games. Entrance fee is worth every penny. Museum exhibits more german weapons than museum in Berlin and a lot of soviet weapons. In outside exhibition you can see a lot of tanks, military aircrafts and much more. Almost everything is written in english. Only bad thing is that you are prohibited to take photos.
  • Great place to visit! If you are history fan then this is the place for you.
