  • I really enjoyed my visit to this museum - compact enough to enjoy the exhibits without being overwhelming. The Treasury was filled with fascinating treasures.
  • The National Archaeological Museum in Sofia is located just in front of the presidential palace where the changing of the guard. It is not far away even from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, one of the most important monuments of Sofia. The entry price is for 10 Lev (5 €) and is open from 10:00 at 17:00, closed Mondays. If you are in those areas is certainly an attraction to visit that contains archaeological finds from prehistoric times, the Greek and Roman times until the 18th century. The Museum is divided into several levels: entrance hall begins with prehistoric and bronze age exhibits followed by Roman and Greek. Upstairs are the medieval Hall and also the Valchitran treasure room, a very pretty room with various Thracian treasures. Striking the thin Gold Crown. Recommended!
