  • On one side of the Church of Santa Sofia, near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, there are two monuments dedicated to the fallen. The first is the tomb of the unknown soldier, on which burns the eternal flame, commemorates all the Bulgarian soldiers died for the defense of the homeland. The other is the large bronze lion, just adjacent to the monument, represents the courage of Saeed who fought for the Bulgarian State. From the front, crossing the street, there is a public garden that hosts a flea market!!!
