  • A beautiful place to relax. But if you want to go down along the river, you need to kbow the path is not very good and takes longer than expected.  more »
  • Don't let other reviews deceive you! The hike to Boyana waterfall, even the "easy" one requires training, equipment and preparation. It's seep, slippery and poorly marked. Go at your own risk.  more »

  • Perfect place to go to escape from the big city! We had fun hiking about 1,5 hours each direction from Boyana to the waterfall. The waterfall is impressive !
  • A demanding hike if you start from the monastery and take the right (hard) trail following the water. Lots of people at the waterfalls...so nothing if looking for silence.
  • Wow, water falls when gravity takes over. Honestly I don’t know if I went far enough up the street to see the actual falls, but I found this nice spot with only limited garbage and graffiti. On the way to the church (see accompanying review and suggestions not to waste your time). Well, here’s a picture of water flowing through a tunnel which seems old.
  • Wonderful location for a one day hike close to Sofia - the waterfall is amazing and the walk is mainly in the shade is the forest - however, it is not very easy and thus not suitable for everyone (e.g. seniors and kids).
  • The waterfall was impressive. The photos don't do it justice. The hike there is mostly in the shade, and there are gentler slopes as well as steeper ones if you want to go up quicker.
