Danube River, Ruse
(3.3/5 based on 90 reviews on the web)
The largest river in the European Union, links ten countries, features picturesque ports, and hosts a plethora of cruises. Experience this dynamic river from the largest port in Ruse, Bulgaria, where neo-Baroque and neo-Rococo architecture dots riverside pathways as people jog and cycle alongside. From here you'll see some unusual monuments, such as a crumbling medieval castle on a rock above the Danube. Grab a bite at a restaurant by the river, snap photos of this site amidst an urban setting, or board one of the riverside cruise boats to learn about the region's history and ecosystems. • Most major Eastern European cities on the Danube is rather beside her as to her: Vienna and Belgrade are a clear example for that. Only in Budapest, the Danube is properly a part of the city. How is it in ruse? Coming from the Danube, so as we from the ship, arriving in a narrow, but located on the Danube along extensions Park. This unfortunately then ends in a Railway yard and industry with clear signs of decay. Passing through the Park, one was uphill in the city. This seems rather turn their backs to the Danube. It is unfortunately restricted also nice, is he out of prefabricated buildings, crumbling. But looking towards Danube, it is compensated again. The river flows evenly between the city and the Green Bank, radiates a wonderful sleep. In the summer on the shores, sculptures made of sand and issued. If you have the opportunity, at this time in ruse, you shouldn't this not to be missed.

  • I had a long walk around the Danube Rover and enjoyed it very much. It is relaxing and peaceful. There are various ships that you can see there and enjoy the scenery. Usually during the summer periods...  more »
  • Although the Danube is wide enough in Ruse, there are other cities where river and city come together a lot more. In any event, a walk worth the effort, even if the strokes are a tacky, whereas in other parks are pleasant. the sunset is always nice
