  • I very much enjoyed this museum. I found the collection to be as good as the one in Sofia, with many fewer visitors. In fact I had the place to myself, without much noise of any kind. This was a pleas...  more »

  • Lots of history. Knowledgeable staff. Had great time.
  • A nice museum but the experience for me was spoiled by a Guard following me around the museum the whole time. I have two degrees, one in ancient history and I have been to about fifty museums in the world that show ancient art. I was constantly aware that whenever I went into a room the guard followed me, hiding behind a pillar, and also pretending to not follow me. This behaviour was totally unnecessary (as no other museum I have been in does this) and a bit unsophisticated. You are made to feel you are like a criminal or illegal immigrant. Very non-European behaviour, more like how they would behave in a museum in the middle east !
  • Great exhibition artifacts and very informative description in English.
  • Well-ordered, with lots of information and interesting things. The exposure-the Thracian gold treasure.
