  • Initially freaked out a little to see that all the main shopping street of Plovdiv was built over the Roman Stadium... I thought it was heresy, but think again and see the arranged thing was I saw integration quite interesting as merge parts of the State with the current Street, I think that is very original.

  • The ancient Stadium, we searched for a long time. It is not so obvious now it looks. We both are accustomed to? All skyward. And here under! Directly beneath the main pedestrian street located Stadium. More precisely, it is preserved to us. Steps, jumps, Café-exhibitions-Super idea!

  • The history behind the discovery of this place is interesting. I recommend going down under the tunnel and watching the 3d movie explaining everything about it. You also get free admission to a museum in old town with purchase of the ticket.
  • A beautiful place to visit while in Plovdiv. On the level below the main street there is a coffee place facing the end of the stadium, so all can enjoy exploring the ruins while having a nice cup of tea or coffee
  • I would recommend to go In the morning and avoid the afternoon sun. Try to catch a live show here to expense what it would have been like in the Roman era.
  • Lots of history and amazing to think centuries ago they moved the high stones in place to make this.
  • Plovdiv is one of my favorite places, there's loads to do in the new town and plenty to see in the old town. The value for money is fantastic and there are plenty of good restaurants.
