  • The visit to these ruins is interesting, the history they represent, in the area of Thrace where they are, but also the landscape that there is around and the paths that border them. There is a parking area (which costs 1 lev) and a little higher (6 leva for adults, € 3) inputs are purchased. In the parking lot sold illustrated maps of the ruins and the region, very instructive. Also sold trinkets diverse (as memories of "onyx", which are actually plastic).

  • One of the greatest sights of Bulgaria. In the center of the Eastern Rhodopes has developed real tsiviliatsiya of antiquity. The remains are more than remarkable. Mandatory visit.
  • ask for a guide, it's a must do. great history condensed in one place, 4 different cultures build their outposts on that rock.
  • The ancient Thracian city of Perperikon is located on a 470 m high rocky hill, which is thought to have been a sacred place. It originates from the Bronze age.
  • Great place! Once was a place of worship and druids. Only wish the archaeologist improvised less. I've seen it before when it was natural and it was beautiful. After that the archaeologist decided he can move stones and make it more appealing. Its a disgrace!
  • I am watching Expedition Unknown TV show, and so far I am very impressed by Perperikon legend and the discovery of a vampire ritual
