Basarbovo Monastery - the Monastery of Saint Dimitar Basarbowski - is a Bulgarian-orthodox cave monastery near the city of Ruse in north-eastern Bulgaria. It has the same name as the nearby village of Basarbovo and lies about 35 metres above the river Rusenski Lom, south of the Danube.The oldest written mention of the monastery dates to the 15th century in an Ottoman tax register.

  • Between the Church of Ivanovo and advise this monastery to visit one of them since it gives shows like in the 13th century the hills built their churches in the rocks.

  • Near to city Ruse, only 10 km. Its in a very beautiful nature. Nice restaurant Zmeeva chuka in typical style. The only in the region shkembe chorba kind of bulgarian soup.
