  • To achieve best of ruse. We were driven by a bus because we had put on a Danube cruise in ruse. So a these ride the excursion to this monastery is offered who should accept! In addition the roads are not good there, also a card necessarily belongs in the equipment you should rely on the navigation system alone in any case. Other commentators criticized ticket prices, with us they were included as the lead. You can book a guided tour so we learned at the place. But also, it is enough if you at the kiosk or at home buy a little book to the monastery. Orthodox monastery, the affinity of the Orthodox to rock monasteries and hermitages known. Very nice in several caves and comparatively well-preserved murals, also a very beautiful iconostasis. For the man who has seen already Orthodox churches as well as for a newbie in this area quite rewarding. It was also very interesting that you could see in the Interior of a restored Church and experienced how iconographic wall painting is made in modern times. To our knowledge, there are no hotels in the vicinity. While the monastery has a guest house, but how you can book rooms, remained open. Small kiosk with refreshments, but no restaurant or snack. So some food to take. Some level goes up to the caves. Who creates home two floors, for which there is no problem. The levels are but uneven and partly in the rock. Attract the best footwear.
