  • A new building been erected for the hawkers, cheap and delicious food available.
  • Wide variety of food options here. Fun atmosphere. A place for locals and tourists alike. Some vegetarian "main courses" are available, but not much - vegetarian snack foods are your main veggie option. Most things cost $1, making it easy to try many different things. I enjoyed the fried potato balls, ABC jelly drink, coconut water, egg & cheese sandwich, and other local favorites. People here are friendly and welcoming. It's clean and the lighting is good, so it feels very safe. I was told the best time to go is around 7pm (which is when I went). Not much to do around this area besides the markets, so plan accordingly.
  • Located on the other side of the river Sungai Menglait from The Mall Gadong, the night market has recently moved to a new building, looking very clean, bright and airy. There are four rows of stalls, the majority selling food, but there are also others selling music CD's, clothes and fresh fruits. Food offers vary from satay to nasi goreng, and plenty of local staples, very cheaply priced. We had dinner for about $5 BND. The food is provided to be taken home, but there are several tables and benches conveniently located, for the visitors that wish to eat at the market. It is open from 4 to 11pm.
  • The gadong night market is set up next to the gadong wet market shere they have all kinds of fish sellers. The night market stalls have many fried and bbq food. Its a cool place to spend some time and eat.
  • Good variety of choices from grilled, fried food to different kind of drinks. Try the Gula Melaka it taste similar to Halo halo back in the Philippines
