Kg Kianggeh Open Air Market, Bandar Seri Begawan
(3.3/5 based on 200 reviews on the web)
Catering mostly to the local population, Kg Kianggeh Open Air Market provides an excellent insight into ingredients used in Brunei's cuisine. The stalls are packed with local fruits, vegetables, edible ferns, bamboo shoots, medicinal herbs, spices, and seafood--fresh and dried. Try some local snacks, such as kueys--cakes made with coconut cream and tapioca. If you're looking for a souvenir, bakul (a hand-woven basket) or tudung dulang (a decorative dish cover) remain the most popular choices. • Local market is different from other cities, from the other side too they cannot sell. Said the guide is also hygienic so use care. Just seems too little different Asian vegetables. Another hotel on the outside, so if you're buying and eating may be good. You might also try to buy compared to specialty products are like no other, woven bags, etc.. Here God revealed in the Islamist cat animal's caretaker is so, so. Is on the market for sale, not so. I have been oppressed in animals-dogs not allowed by God.

  • So glad the vendors get to stay near the old place thanks to His Majesty. Its clean, spacious and pleasant to wander around. The best tine to go would be Friday morning.
  • This place is always busy on Friday & Sunday morning. Starting as early as 5 am up to midday. You can find lots of things being sold here. From fresh fishes to local foods to fresh coconuts juice. Just visit this place to see for yourself.
  • Good place to be to buy vegetables and stuff. Also a good place to experience the local market and food.
  • Clean and more choice for local fruits and vegetable. Unfortunately parking is not free even during holidays and weekends !
  • Local fruits and vegetables available.
