Established to present visitors insight into the city's glorious past and to preserve Brunei's cottage industries, Kampong Ayer Cultural & Tourism Gallery exhibits crafts inspired by the country's pre-oil culture. Rent a water taxi to visit this small riverfront complex and take a stroll through five mini galleries exhibiting Bruneian traditional artwork (some are for sale). This gallery also offers an observation tower where you can see scenic views of the small part of the village bellow. You can obtain an "I love Brunei" pin free of charge at the entrance of the gallery.   • We can learn all that we want to know about Kampung Ayer from the gallery. With free badge and tourism map, it is definitely a must-see item in your itinerary. 
  • Although this is not a big museum, it has an interesting description of the history of the water village as well as video presentations, and you can wander through then water village from here. 
  • Nice little exhibition to visit during your tour of the water village. Tells the stories of who were the first settlers and where they came from. Free to go around and we got a free badge too :)
