Virgin Gorda Peak, Virgin Gorda
Categories: National Parks, Hiking Trails, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Take in a view of the deep blue sea and lush archipelago from 418 m (1,370 ft) up at Virgin Gorda Peak. At the highest point on the island, this vantage point rewards hikers with unobstructed views of surrounding islands and nearby anchorage. You'll find two hiking trails, one longer and one other shorter, but both are well-marked and end at the same viewing platforms. On the way up, take in all the local flora and fauna, including Christmas orchids, bromeliads, mango trees, and hummingbirds. As you climb you'll notice that the vegetation changes from dry scrub to more tropical conditions. Put Virgin Gorda Peak and other British Virgin Islands attractions into our British Virgin Islands travel itinerary maker, and watch your holiday take shape.
