Long Bay, Virgin Gorda
(4.8/5 based on 25+ reviews on the web)
Volcanic rocks adorn Long Bay, a small beach affording some exceptional snorkeling and quiet secluded sands. The volcanic rock of the bay's sea bed makes the water very clear, and provides great conditions for observing marine life. Some very shallow coral may hinder swimming for leisure, but it makes for interesting exploring. Be aware that currents can get strong away from the shore, and make sure to bring sunscreen, snacks, and water. Using our world travel planner, British Virgin Islands attractions like Long Bay can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.
