Find a secluded and restful place at Smuggler's Cove, a calm, sheltered inlet beach. To reach this spot at the western end of Tortola, you'll need to maneuver a bumpy, unpaved road. The beach uses this relative inaccessibility to its advantage, offering a feeling of calm and seclusion rare among the island's coastal areas. When swimming and snorkeling in the clear water, keep an eye out for resident sea turtles. Put Smuggler's Cove at the forefront of your travel plans using our British Virgin Islands vacation builder.

  • This was one of the first places we snorkeled in the BVIs. It was somewhat easy to find. The water was crystal clear and we saw a lot of cool fish.
  • This is a must visit place, the route through the caves and water is the best, though sailing into the cove is amazing too!
  • I went on a Sunday, and there were many natives making picnic. The problem is the trash they leave on the beach. Other than that, the beach is very beautiful. I imagine that going on a quieter day is more suitable for the climate of deserted beach.
