The Indians, British Virgin Islands
Categories: Geologic Formations, Nature & Parks
Regarded as one of the worlds best fishing and diving spots in the British Virgin Islands, The Indians features underwater coral gardens, a 15 ft (4.6 m) tunnel, and an underwater cavern. Take your snorkeling gear and enjoy high levels of visibility as you discover schools of vibrantly colored fish including trumpet fish, trunkfish, and scrawled filefish. The rock formations, which are about as big beneath the water as they are above it, remain accessible only by boat. Arrive as early as possible, as the attraction gets busier as the day goes on. See The Indians and all British Virgin Islands has to offer by arranging your trip with our British Virgin Islands family vacation planner.

Highlight of our trip. Great snorkeling. Our entire family did it. Very cool coral and fish! We have been before but this was the best trip because the water was very calm.

Really amazing place to go snorkelling or diving. There is a little tunnel you can swim through if you are brave. It is clearly impacted by the amount of tourism however, and should really be protected more. The reef will die at the rate it's going.
Great place to go snorkelig. This should be done mid day on a sunny day, as the light from the sun gets out the great colors on the fish.
We sailed around the BVI's back in 2004 using the Moorings. The Indian Islands were the first place we stopped to snorkel; it ended up being the best snorkeling of the whole 12 day trip.
Always a great snorkel and a must on every trip. Great fish, the black durgon is almost always around. The swim through is always fun.
Unique outcrop of rocks with worthwhile snorkeling
