The Bubbly Pool, Jost Van Dyke
Categories: Bodies of Water, Nature & Parks
Adjacent to the ocean and sheltered by the rocks sits The Bubbly Pool, a natural rock pool that creates bubbles. This phenomenon requires the weather conditions to be right--waves must be breaking on the north side of the shore for bubbles to appear. As the waves crash on the rocks, water pushes through, creating a bubble effect. The water sinks to about 1.2 m (4 ft) and therefore offers a fun and safe experience for kids. However be cautious of hitting yourself on rocks under the water.
