  • You can climb to the monastery on foot, by car or pay a transfer, just don't let go because the view is 360°, you can see part of the old Village, the Morro do Moreno and much of Victoria Island. The construction itself also becomes an attractive for being old and historic, bringing the feel of a trip to the past. Who is the lover of beautiful landscapes and pictures of ways, a good option is to go in the evening to enjoy the sunset.

  • Considered one of the oldest sanctuaries of Brazil, the Penha Convent in old town, is one of the most visited monuments of the State of Espirito Santo. The convent is reminiscent of a medieval building, because the Jesuit constructions seek inspiration in the sobriety of the castles. In addition to the chapels and mount installations with more than 100 meters high, many go to the place to admire the beautiful view of Victoria and Vila Velha cities in their viewpoints, since areas of strategic views were part of these constructions.

  • Situated on a cliff more than 154 meters high is one of the oldest religious buildings in Brazil. Worth knowing by the panoramic view of the city that provides and the historical importance of the building. It is good to use light clothes and shoes suitable for the steep climb in irregular stones and the staircase to get to the top where is the sanctuary.

  • Beautiful convent and a must see. Time it right though because the entrance is controlled to prevent more having more cars than spaces. Got Uber up there straight away but had to wait more than 30 min for Uber pick up. Left pram at shop to go up to convent and tipped the owner.
  • Main tourist attraction in Vila Velha. You can get a wonderful view of Vitória Bay, the 3rd Bridge and Vila Velha. Also the convent is one of the oldest churches in Brazil, where you can find the portuguese colonial architecture.
  • Amazing view of the city of Vitoria and surroundings.
  • Most famous place in Vila Velha! You NEED to visit it. It's amazing! You don't need to be catholic or even religious to love it! Hear me, I know what I'm talking about!
  • A beautiful place!
