Morro do Moreno, Vila Velha

A trek up a mountain above the city will give you spectacular views of the bridge, water, and town below. However, Morro do Moreno is a non-guided trekking and hiking experience with a big payoff at the end. Don't forget your camera, wear your hiking boots, and bring plenty of water and snacks to sustain yourself on the journey up. You'll be rewarded with a bird's eye view of the city whose concrete structures are spread through forest greenery. • Go up the Hill of Moreno physical effort because it's requires a steep climb. In the current condition of the highway, you can't drive. We walked down the road, where the movement is larger and has more security. We were in two families with children 5 and 6 years and up just fine. It was a day of holiday and was very busy. We prefer to go up in the morning, at around 10:00, when the Sun was not yet very strong. With respect to security, we found all quiet, we didn't notice any problem. The various possibilities to visualize Victory and Vila Velha outweigh the effort, the view is beautiful and the adventure was a rewarding encounter with nature. We love!

  • Great experience to climb up there. It's very easy and don't demand any special skill at all. Although I do not recommend during the week days and at night, because it's better to go when there is more people with you.
  • The climb may be harsh for the unprepared. Bring some water and good shoes.
  • A beautiful viewpoint overlooking all over the bays of Vitoria and Vila Velha, easy to climb, very recommended !
  • Vista linda!!! Vale a Pena.
