#3 of 10 in Parks in Vila Velha
Itaparica Beach is located on the Itaparica island, in All Saints Bay, one hour by ferry from Salvador. A settlement of about 77 sq km (30 sq mi) is mostly inhabited by fishermen and farmers, and largely untouched by foreign travelers. Spend a day in the sunshine, walk along the lanes, or drive through the island countryside. This beach is good for surfing but water is cold.
