Itaparica Beach, Vila Velha

(600+ reviews on the web)
Itaparica Beach is located on the Itaparica island, in All Saints Bay, one hour by ferry from Salvador. A settlement of about 77 sq km (30 sq mi) is mostly inhabited by fishermen and farmers, and largely untouched by foreign travelers. Spend a day in the sunshine, walk along the lanes, or drive through the island countryside. This beach is good for surfing but water is cold. • Beach with apparently calm waters, with a large range of sand, great bike path and Boardwalk. Good infrastructure on the edge and color of darker water due to suspended sediment.

  • I love to swim in this beach, calm waters, not realised the presence of holes (holes to walk in water). Water with enough sediment suspended, that invibializa see anything within the water. Pleasant sea temperature. Quiet sand to practice race. Be careful near bars, because there's garbage on the ground (caps, toothpicks)

  • It is a beach of concentrated tribes, but at no time there is racial segregation, or social. Excellent for people with physical disabilities, because the beach is a reserved area (Beach). The night turns into a great restaurant of various types of food outdoors, as well as a beautiful landscape to practice sports.
