  • unmissable ride to pray to santa Rita and admire fine examples of religious art exposed in your interior.

  • The exterior of the Church is in addition to a charm, a postcard of the city and the State of Mine. Features of colonial architecture. According to information available on the site, little has changed in nearly 200 years of existence. The interior is extremely simple and well maintained. The disappointment was in relation to the collection of pieces of sacred art: Tiny and poorly catalogued. Many parts require informative data and the internal arrangement is pretty confused. Nevertheless, it was worth the visit.

  • Check opening hours before you go. Picturesque place in the middle of town, right next to the municipal market.

  • Installed in a small chapel Museum, with several items of immense historical value. Regardless of religion, this little Museum helps tell the story of the city of Uberaba, Brazil. In this museum is not charged admission, what in my opinion is a mistake, should have a fee for visitation to help maintain and preserve the site.

  • Museum of sacred art of Uberaba visitation: Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 at 6:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 to 12:00 – St. Rita Church – Manoel Earth-Square Center of Uberaba-near the Municipal market Phone: 3316-9886 to access the Museum, disposition is necessary to overcome the slope and get to the entrance of the site. The attendant is a very nice lady, that guides visitors on the characteristics of the Museum. The sacred art museum is installed in the Church of Santa Rita, built in Uberaba, in the year 1854. The collection is small, however Rico in Baroque pieces from the 18th and 19th centuries, tells the story of the Catholic Church in the region. Many pieces come from donations from the Metropolitan Curia, standing out the sections of sacred vestments, banners of processions, vestments, tools, pictures and furniture. The collection has several garments, including Chasuble set made with fabric embroidered with gold thread and yarn from France in 1909.  Has also donated relics and various wood carvings, one of Santa Rita de Cássia. The Church of Santa Rita, by your unique beauty, became mandatory and point along your story, inspired painters, poets and photographers, being forbidden to photograph the interior of the Museum. Emphasis on 18th century PIETA Paulistinha Pottery: the Museum of sacred art in the Christian chronology "Pieta" means "mercy". Is the Mother holding his dead son's body moments after taken from the cross.
