Prumirim Waterfall, Ubatuba

4.5
#2 of 9 in Nature in Ubatuba
Just 19 kilometers (12 mi) from city center, Prumirim Waterfall is a sequence of waterfalls, surrounded by exuberant rainforest and easily accessible by a short trail. The water here forms small natural whirlpools, over which you can swing on ropes attached to the overhanging trees. You can also try swimming in this clean, green water, but the temperature tends to be on the cool side, so a short walk to the shore is highly recommended. On a crescent-shaped beach, good for surfing and diving, you can swim in the warm water and relax on the smooth white sand. For a taste of genuine Brazil, take a guided tour of the indigenous villages located nearby. To visit Prumirim Waterfall on your trip to Ubatuba, use our Ubatuba travel itinerary planner.

Easy access to who's going to drive, auto track guided, rest, swim and do a picnic, place cleaned up, there's always people on site, looks good on the highway going sense Paraty. Too good to spend a Saturday afternoon. I loved it and would go back.

Is next to the BR 101, Paraty/Ubatuba sense. Don't park on the side of the road. There's a parking lot a few meters from the highway where you pay 10.00 and can go for quiet falls. Is not large, it has 3 water falls, but the place is beautiful. People slip on stone and fall into the deep end. The day was cold and not shower. On hot days should be a delight. Despite the beauty I found some dangerous points points, without warning and without saves lives.

The waterfall is very beautiful. Has fallen and 3 takes place for bathing. Unfortunately it was cold and I couldn't fall into the water, but the ride was worth it.

Where to stay in Ubatuba

Ubatuba's accommodations mainly stick close to the water, where major hotels along coastal roads offer both simple and luxurious rooms, with or without a view. Budget-conscious travelers may wish to explore the more humble pousadas (guesthouses) of the town, with a good choice throughout, coming down in price as you move away from the water. Consider an apartment rental for longer stays; or, if you're anxious to get out into the national park and mountainous areas of the municipality, try the campsites on the outskirts of town.
