Domingas Dias Beach, Ubatuba

4.7
#2 of 71 in Outdoors in Ubatuba
The surrounding lush vegetation spotted with luxurious mansions provide a nice backdrop to Domingas Dias Beach, a small beach which is accessible via a gated condominium community. The clean and calm water provides a nice environment for swimming and snorkeling. There is virtually no infrastructure, other than a few vendors in high season, so consider packing your own snacks and drinks. This beach is perfect for children, as well, since the water is still shallow about one meter (three feet) out. • I've been several times, is a quiet beach in a condo with less vendors, but my husband thought the sand too thick and the water this day was fine, then every time on a muddy Beach came to a conclusion that is a kind of experiment.

  • very beautiful beach. totally secure, we let our personal belongings, including mobile phones and money, to go to the sea and everything remained as we left it. scarce and friendly vendors.

  • The beach is really beautiful, quiet, calm sea and no waves. The access can be done through a condominium (can't remember the name, but on the road there are signs signaling the beach) or by a bridge at the end of the beach of Lazaro, who is next. The strip of sand is short and has no kiosks, the day I was there were some stalls selling food and people renting beach umbrella and beach chairs. Remembering that if you park in the building it is necessary to put the Blue Zone card, you buy the card for 12.00 and you can park all day and at any point of the city's Blue Zone.

Where to stay in Ubatuba

Ubatuba's accommodations mainly stick close to the water, where major hotels along coastal roads offer both simple and luxurious rooms, with or without a view. Budget-conscious travelers may wish to explore the more humble pousadas (guesthouses) of the town, with a good choice throughout, coming down in price as you move away from the water. Consider an apartment rental for longer stays; or, if you're anxious to get out into the national park and mountainous areas of the municipality, try the campsites on the outskirts of town.
