Praia da Cal, Torres

4.0
#6 of 10 in Beaches in Torres
Beach Nature / Park
Nestled between Morro do Farol and Morro das Furnas, Praia da Cal has trails leading to both, and you will find stunning views of Torres at the top of each. Back on the beach, you can sit back and relax on the wide stretch of white sand, taking occasional dips in the crystal-clear water to cool down. Known for its waves, when the surf is up you can watch an impressive display of tricks as the local surfers come to practice. A few restaurants and bars are close to Praia da Cal and serve the best of local cuisine. See Praia da Cal and all Torres has to offer by arranging your trip with our Torres vacation builder.

Where to stay in Torres

Much of Torres' lodging comes in the form of midsize hotels occupying rather uninspiring apartment block-style buildings, though this offers you solid access to the waterfront. You'll find a cluster of these hotels a few blocks back from the beach at the base of Avenida Barao do Rio Branco. As you might expect, waterfront accommodations tend to charge more for their rooms with ocean views, so consider requesting a room facing away from the sea in order to go a little easier on your wallet. Keep in mind that during the summer months (December to March) prices for all accommodations in and around town rise in accordance with the crowds. Likewise, you'll find better deals and more budget-friendly options during the off-season (May to November).
