Where to stay in Torres

Much of Torres' lodging comes in the form of midsize hotels occupying rather uninspiring apartment block-style buildings, though this offers you solid access to the waterfront. You'll find a cluster of these hotels a few blocks back from the beach at the base of Avenida Barao do Rio Branco. As you might expect, waterfront accommodations tend to charge more for their rooms with ocean views, so consider requesting a room facing away from the sea in order to go a little easier on your wallet. Keep in mind that during the summer months (December to March) prices for all accommodations in and around town rise in accordance with the crowds. Likewise, you'll find better deals and more budget-friendly options during the off-season (May to November).

  • The name already says. The beach is wide and good for surfers. I don't think it's good for children. I didn't get in the water but it seems a bit dangerous

  • We love the beach, were on holiday of may day, didn't know Torres location, with good dining alternatives. Go to the city centre walking, if you like, it's not bad, about 15 minutes. We were fortunate to see the balloons on the beach on Saturday night, a hell of a show. It's the kind of place that forces us to go back, I'm sure in the summer will be one of our targets.

  • Is the largest beach of Torres, pretty busy in the summer season and the may day holiday (Festival de Balonismo) the balloon ride is here.
