Our Lady of Rosario dos Pretos church was built by and for African slaves that were brought to Brazil. The 18th century church in its simple beauty displays images of black saints, gold plated altar in Rococo style, ceiling paintings of Our Lady of the Rosary giving a bible and a rosary to the saints, and an arch with monumental paintings of the 15 Mysteries of the Rosary. On the second floor, there is a museum dedicated to the history of black community.   • One of the churches of must-see in Tiradentes. It was the Church for slaves and was built mostly at night and they brought hidden gold to adorn the altar. Beautiful architecture.
