Where to stay in Tiradentes

For an atmospheric stay among the Baroque architecture, consider staying in the center of Tiradentes. Prices inflate greatly on weekends, and in the accommodations directly next to the historical area. Charming pousadas (guesthouses) and small hotels make up most of the selection in town, though budget rooms in hostels can also be found if you don't mind staying a few streets from the major attractions. Out of town, you'll find a few more pousadas along the main roads leading out to the south, east, and west, as well as rental apartments and campsites.

  • Museum maintained by UFMG, portrays the lifestyle of Tiradentes of inconfidentes, nothing too elaborate. It is interesting but could be better.

  • An interesting Museum to learn more about the Conspiracy. I found the ticket a little expensive compared to other museums, since the collection is not so great.

  • Very good guided tour. Visit no hurry to be able to admire the ceiling paintings and the works, which change frequently.

  • Museum about one of the inconfidentes, good sample about the history of our State and of conspiracy.

  • The tour is very didactic. The Museum is quite beautiful and well maintained. Obligatory stop for tourists.
