The Museum is a good example of public disposal of a private collection. The images of Sant'Ana reveal features of syncretism and evolution of the Baroque in Brazil, in addition to the information on the devotion to the Saint. Is set in the old building of the city jail, conforming a complete cultural attraction. The visit is fast.

They made a huge reform in the old jail of Tiradentes, but preserved a piece of Dungeon. Were placed over 350 pictures of Samir. Are beautiful images, but the visitation is very short (only 3 rooms), I'm glad that costs only $5 (regular price) and 50% discount for seniors and students.

Even the Museum being de Sant'Ana, it would be interesting to show a little more of prison and not only focus on the images.

The Museum is located in a super original. Is a small but very well organized Museum. You can stay a long time to find out all the details of the figures, but also gives to the view the "run", though so if you miss the magic of the Museum.

This museum is beautiful and touching! The building-a former jail-fully restored and the images of Sant'Ana, representing the Brazilian Baroque, are not to be missed. On top of everything else, has excellent coffee. This museum is comparable to a good Museum abroad, so worthy of pride for us Brazilians. Worth the visit!

Rich and exciting visit. Diverse collection and well-kept, with information about each one of the pieces. Be sure to hear the statement "lack lit" at the end of the visit.

Where to stay in Tiradentes

For an atmospheric stay among the Baroque architecture, consider staying in the center of Tiradentes. Prices inflate greatly on weekends, and in the accommodations directly next to the historical area. Charming pousadas (guesthouses) and small hotels make up most of the selection in town, though budget rooms in hostels can also be found if you don't mind staying a few streets from the major attractions. Out of town, you'll find a few more pousadas along the main roads leading out to the south, east, and west, as well as rental apartments and campsites.
