Inspirock Rating:
2.6/5 based on 300+ reviews on the web
Armadillos are free to wander around Parque Zoobotanico de Teresina, an environmental preservation area harboring many native plant and animal species. There are many trails here that you can walk by yourself, or in the company of a trained guide. On remoter paths they can show you exotic vegetation growing undisturbed in this protected tropical area, from rare white mimosas to several species of native palms. The site also provides a large food court, kiosks selling crafts and souvenirs, playgrounds, and bicycle/boat rental stalls near the Poti River. Don’t swim in the lake, though --it is full of caimans! • Excellent for walks with children, hiking, picnics, too bad it's a bit abandoned, lack maintenance in some areas.

  • A great space for the whole family get together and spend a great sunny day (in Teresina is always sunny), with cultural activities, leisure and sport, too. How about a caryocar coriaceum-nique in the Zoo?

  • The Park zoobotânica of teresina is a reasonable alternative for those who want to have some leisure without spending a lot. Especially in the period of the br the bró, the presence of vast native vegetation helps to assuage some of the unbearable heat. The adventures of the children also are getting too cool.
