Parque Zoobotanico de Teresina, Teresina

(2.6/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
Armadillos are free to wander around Parque Zoobotanico de Teresina, an environmental preservation area harboring many native plant and animal species. There are many trails here that you can walk by yourself, or in the company of a trained guide. On remoter paths they can show you exotic vegetation growing undisturbed in this protected tropical area, from rare white mimosas to several species of native palms. The site also provides a large food court, kiosks selling crafts and souvenirs, playgrounds, and bicycle/boat rental stalls near the Poti River. Don’t swim in the lake, though --it is full of caimans! • Great option for those who want to walk, visiting the city of Teresina with their children. A very nice atmosphere.

  • Huge and beautiful space, deserved more investments. Little variety of animals, signs, cleaning and security. Is not inviting for a second visit.
