Parque Zoobotanico de Teresina, Teresina

(2.6/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
Armadillos are free to wander around Parque Zoobotanico de Teresina, an environmental preservation area harboring many native plant and animal species. There are many trails here that you can walk by yourself, or in the company of a trained guide. On remoter paths they can show you exotic vegetation growing undisturbed in this protected tropical area, from rare white mimosas to several species of native palms. The site also provides a large food court, kiosks selling crafts and souvenirs, playgrounds, and bicycle/boat rental stalls near the Poti River. Don’t swim in the lake, though --it is full of caimans! • Nice site, with species diversity to visit, great ride for kids, great places that sell snacks inside the Park, a negative point of the ride really the location is quite far ¨ ¨ everything kkkkkk

  • The area is beautiful with many rare plants and animals from other countries, but many animals seem to have difficulty in adapting to the heat of the city and they don't look very well fed. I think mainly the area of animals needed to be more comfortable for them.

  • Great for kids are walking, rollerblading and jogging, wooded lot, has a space with bushwalk and Zipline that is sensational, my son loved. The bad part is that the animals are in tiny places is super stressed, when I passed the Lions and seen it given up on meeting the other animals.
