  • The Church is under construction. The ship is still beautiful. The fans are no longer able to ease the climate of the city, the reform should include air conditioning. A shame to stay in front of a beautiful park but which became the cracolandia of Teresina, in addition to numerous beggars in the vicinity.

  • The Church is located in the city centre. Visit a must for anyone who enjoys religious spaces and enjoy architecture. The foundation stone of the Church of Amparo, was released on 25 December 1850 and was inaugurated in December 1852 and elevated to the rank of the matrix of the city; being ready just the chancel. The oldest Catholic Temple in the capital of Piauí. Nossa Senhora do Amparo, whose day is celebrated on the day August 16, is the patron saint of the city of Teresina. In 1851 came in Portugal the image of our Lady of Amparo on the high altar of the Church. Worth the visit.
