Museu Imigracao Italiana - Circolo, Taubate
(2.8/5 based on 40+ reviews on the web)
A mansion built by Italian immigrants in the 19th century, Museu Imigracao Italiana - Circolo offers a valuable historical lesson to visitors interested in how the European settlers lived and prospered in this region. The building, situated in the cultural district called Quiririm, still includes authentic furniture, much of which was brought from Europe by the original owners. Built by the Indiani family, the mansion was designed in an architectural style typical of northern Italy at that time. Today, the site also serves as the seat of Circolo Italiano, a socio-cultural club working to preserve the culture and tradition of the city’s large Italian community. • I've been in this Museum, and I was very unhappy with what I found. Despite Still being quite beautiful April 1903, except the memory, its architecture is grandiose and classic era. Inside the times building pieces of time preserved, (typewriters, disks, some furniture, a simple library without very careful, any memories of games of boules. In the kitchen a game of firewood and a washing machine that caught my eye didn't know, she washed and cheered the clothes I think the brand there is!! (Too bad the objects aren't as careful, I think you should be more careful, even though they have more than 100 years, they should be more preserved) It would be an attention and affection that Bonna people! both worked in this city of Argos!

The seat of the Museum and the family villa Indiani, one of the pioneers. Worth checking out this story in particular meet the Villa dating back to the year 2013 and has beautiful frescoes painted by one of the Indiani, depicting landscapes of the region of Origin of this family in Italy.

  • Museum located in a region with a view to the hills of Mantiqueira, Italian Immigration Museum brings us a very rich history of coming and the work of Italians in Brazil in particular in the city of Taubaté. Great ride for Family Museum surrounded with great Italian cuisine options.
