  • Old Village is excellent! First, easy access, within 1:30 of the Capital. Take the BR101 and shortly after Silva Jardim (on the border with Casemiro de Abreu), you arrive at the entrance (a portico that could bring more clearly the name of the village). Then, 8 km of dirt road, but well preserved. The best of the site are the waterfalls. The of the swallows is very good, with 3 wells where you can take a shower. When I went, the water temperature was pleasant. You pay 10 reais per person for access. You can go from stroller if the road is dry and has parking at the entrance of the trail to the waterfall, but I advise you to rent a Jeep or pickup (15 reais per person-children under 12 years don't pay) because the parking lot fills up fast and saves your vehicle a vx greater wear. There are 3 very good hostels and new I saw in place: the Bamboo Village (camping and chalets), the Estrela d'alva and Acacia Imperial (only bungalows). There are campsites and lodge more simple, as well as people who rent houses per season. If you have time and want to make the visitation of the 7 falls, you must schedule the day before with a guide on Bamboo Village Inn (it wasn't, but they say they are great). Some psgos music festivals occur during the year (rock, reggae, forró, mpb) and holidays free presentations on the main street (where the Church). To eat, there are few options. Or you feeds on own Inn, or in 2 or 3 simple restaurants that get tb on main street (emphasis on the "bicho do mato", serving pizza with cassava dough). But the cuisine isn't strong there, and many that make camping opt to cook their own meals. At the Inn at which I was some guests complained a lot of ticks. I personally had no problems, having bothered more with mosquitoes, which are most active between 17 and 1930h, but nothing a Autan can't fix. I intend to go back soon, as it is a very pleasant place affordable. Advise:-Take mosquito repellent, biking, waterfalls, a TIM chip (only operator that take place), if you're camping, give preference to the village of bamboo on the excellent infrastructure for camping, don't get the dirt roads of access to waterfalls in tour vehicle 4 x 2 If has rained (better pay a jipeiro), the crepe from the Village of bamboo, coconut pie do Bicho do Mato, if you have a presentation music on main street on Saturday night, an ice cream in the ice cream parlor main street, turn off everything and relax! I don't advise you: the departure of people who don't enjoy simple places, because the tourist structure really is little.

  • For those who want to relax and loves nature is an ideal place, with beautiful waterfalls, but without many comfort options.

  • The site is fantáastico. Exuberant nature, waterfalls, good food. For those who want to relax and loves the nature, the location is ideal. A place with few houses, for hiking, visit waterfalls. Simplicity of the restaurants, the place and the people who live there. Shipping: 16 KM from the bus station of casimiro de Abreu. The vans do not leave from the bus station and the other side of the track, in a diner. Always consult the timetables, do you have lots of options to transport there. Access by car is easy. Hosting: by the village, most lodgings are hostels and campsites; There are lodges, chalets and hotels as well. Consult price of Valley homes and apartments because the prices are good. The hosting is cheap here. I stayed in the RPPN Recently Bom Retiro and enjoyed! I paid R $30.00 per day, collective kitchen, bath, Wells River. I've heard a lot good of the Camping Village, power: In campgrounds and houses worth buy food and take. A few grocery stores in Old Village, but are few and not have mts options. A few restaurants, but the ones we liked. • Bicho do Mato restaurant and pizzeria; • A pízzaria near RPPN Recently Bom Retiro, which rotates pizza made in a wood stove is R $28.00 per person with soda. Nice atmosphere and delicious pizza! • Taste of the village: we pay around 25 reais, in a large and delicious lasagna that easily serves two people. WATERFALLS: waterfalls we know are paid, for being on private property. We pay 10 dollars, which gives right to know 4 waterfalls. Worth the investment. There is an on-site restaurant, with dish made 15 reais. It is important to schedule time to arrive because lota. Well, I loved Old Village, place of exuberant nature, nice people, out of the excitement of the city. If you want more calm is good to go out of holiday and vacation as the place fills up. There is already a movement growing, unfortunately, people who are not very concerned with nature and tranquility, choosing the location for "clapper". Also a forró with people from different places in Brazil if you like, it's not my case. But, I recommend meet!
