Porchat island, Sao Vicente
(4.2/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Oscar Niemeyer favored this getaway with a white lookout that gives visitors a breathtaking view over the beach and city below. However, Porchat island is not just about views and scenery; it has a city that attracts both domestic and international visitors for its energetic nightlife. Kill the day enjoying the water and sand, or stroll the street visiting local boutiques then join the party at night when the city lights up.

Hiking to the lookout takes time, but it's a great way to exercise and enjoy the island's natural assets. When you reach the lookout, you'll be greeted with an extraordinary view of the land below. Try the restuarant at the top and enjoy a hearty meal with a city view.  It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Porchat island and many more Sao Vicente attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Sao Vicente tour planner.

  • Great program to enjoy a panoramic view of the sea. The on-site restaurants are expensive, so I recommend doing the meal before the tour and enjoy the moment for a drink or coffee. A unique experience. It's worth it!

  • I met the beautiful gazebo designed by famous Oscar Niemeyer to a few years. I returned in early December 2016 and had sure our greatest architect and urbanist is turning over in his grave. Extremely badly insulated, bubbles in its dome, cracks, painting run-down and the metal part of the railing completely eroded, with serious risk of injuring the visitors. Rust corroded edges, these being touched upon, for sure, a vector of tetanus. Before you get to the place (it would be better to write there was) a concrete Chair, with a privileged view, which served to take beautiful photos of the structure from a bottom view. Today this around weeds and TRASH. The municipality of São Vicente should be thrown judicially by the neglect with this heritage. The Prosecutor of the city should be cientificado of this absurd!!!!!!
