Biquinha de Anchieta, Sao Vicente
(2/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Biquinha de Anchieta is a small square characteristic for its tiled fountain depicting padre Anchieta, the Jesuit priest who tried to convert the native Indians to Catholicism. Surrounded by souvenir shops, and shops selling Brazilian homemade sweets such as passion-fruit pudding and beijinhos de coco (coconut kisses, similar to macaroons), the site is pleasant for a brief stroll and souvenir shopping. There is also a playground for kids. Plan to see Biquinha de Anchieta and other attractions that appeal to you using our Sao Vicente trip builder.

  • This should be the new name: "Toe of Anchieta". The site is abandoned and vandalized, taken by drug users. The sale of souvenirs and candy that happened around also declined a great deal. I hope that this will change soon, but for now I believe that this visit was a waste of time.

  • The place was super cool biquinha for sightseeing. Had a whole infrastructure with toilets and kiosks of sweet and savory. Also had obviously the famous water spout, all cute. After a fire, if I'm not mistaken, everything was banned and only some sweet and savory stalls were moved to the square in front, without any infrastructure. Very sad. Do not give the slightest desire to go there. Not to mention that it's not a very safe place, always has people suspected, is not cool. City Hall! We want the biquinha back!

  • I know the place since I was little, it was nice. The room had several candy stalls and the biquinha itself is a "taps" where empties the water a very good water source. Tourists and residents make use of water, is pretty hot. There is also a mural made of tiles that is really old, just not sure if it's from the colonial era. Although simple, the location was nice for a stroll with the family until it was banned for reform, which has not been completed yet, and it looks abandoned.

  • Lugar lindo
Totalmente largada... Um nojo. Conseguiram acabar com a tranquilidade da praça.
  • Beautiful and historic
