  • Believing it to be a miracle, the captain had to erect a chapel on the site where, in 1785, was built the Church of São Thomé, originating so the town; they say that the Captain's son, Gabriel Francisco Junqueira, the Baron of Alfenas, this title granted by King Pedro II, was buried under the altar of the Church. Cool, isn't it?

  • To learn a little of the history of this church, see my comment about the grotto of São Thomé. Church built in the vicinity of the year 1750 is made of stones and walls has more than one meter wide. Out of respect for history and preservation, not allowed the filming or photography inside her, but I assure you the painting made on the ceiling, some finishes were painted in the color of another you hark back to the days of luxury at the time. To your local Commerce Bank, around the station and a lot of beauty. Like my comment, give a tanned and motivate me to post more and more. Good ride.
