Where to stay in Sao Thome das Letras

Welcoming bed and breakfasts abound in Sao Thome Das Letras, with a good range of options for most budgets. The city sprawls out over the mountain’s peak, so it’s wise to decide which attractions you’d like to be closest to when looking for your accommodations. Staying in the center is a good option, as you’ll be close to some main attractions and landmarks. The jungle and cave systems lie further out, however, so if those are your focus, consider staying on the edge of town for convenience.

  • This is a cave which you take about 10 minutes to get to the other side of it. When you get there, you'll find beautiful natural pools, with warm water sometimes.  more »

  • An adventure through the cave inside that ends in a wonderful waterfall. Easy access, however, entering the cave be careful with slips and hit his head on rocks. NOTE: make sure you have a lantern! The first two times I went there was no fee for entry, today has a and per person, I hope you feel better with the cleaning of the Park and public service.

  • For the first time in 20 years, I had to pay to enter the cave. I was outraged by the value (R $15.00). I accepted because I was there. The guide accompanies us and use helmet with lamp (this was great, because we hadn't taken a lantern). And also gives the right to use the swimming pool for the entire day. The restaurant is expensive, common food and poorly organized. No structure that is consistent with the price of the pound (48.00!!!). Any dish gives easily a pound due to heavy mining culinary items. Do not recommend. There is another way without using the entrance restaurant/parking lot where there is a bar that doesn't charge entry ....

  • A nice place to meet. Visit accompanied by guides from the region, parking, restaurant and swimming pool included in the package of visitation. After exiting the cave tourist stumbles upon a beautiful waterfall where you can spend moments of joy and fun. The visit yields good pictures.

  • Amazing!!!! Short passage, but time and experience it's worth. If you're afraid of bat or claustrophobia don't risk. Crocs is a good choice of footwear ... After all you're going to have to step into the icy water. If you have your flashlight!
