Boicucanga Beach, Sao Sebastiao

The picturesque, horseshoe-shaped Boicucanga Beach is backed by the steeply rising Serra do Mar, and has soft, white-gold sand, from where you can sit and watch experienced surfers riding the tumbling waves. At its northern end, Rio Boiçucanga empties into the ocean and you will find local fishermen with their boats, hauling up their daily catch. Boicucanga Beach is one of the few places in Brazil where you can watch the sun set into the water; the sky painted in brilliant shades of orange is an unforgettable sight, even more enjoyable with a delicious caipirinha in your hand. • The last time I was on this beach was closed and I couldn't enjoy a swim. But I gave a good walk by her. In certain parts there is a certain difficulty to walk by it because the slope of the sand. The waves break hard at the edge and be tumbling, one must be careful not to make a broth when entering the sea. On the right side it has a few rocks to climb and take some pictures. Should be much better in a beautiful sunny day, but enjoyed the ride.

  • Charming little beach with small waves, blue sea and a few stalls. Wasn't crowded even on holiday. Well family, although some beings with loud sound completely clueless. The left corner is very quiet and we could enjoy the beach in Nice.

  • A paradise near Sao Paulo. Beach clean, fluffy sand, very quiet and easy to access. When the sea is rough, the waters are a swimming pool. A river meets the sea and the sunset is a show. I highly recommend.
