Viaduto Santa Efigenia, Sao Paulo

(3.6/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Viaduto Santa Efigenia is a viaduct located in downtown São Paulo with exclusive use for pedestrians, It starts at Largo São Bento and ends in front of the Church of Santa Iphigenia. It’s a gorgeous steel structure built in Belgium between 1910 and 1913 and transported to Sao Paulo in large pieces. Cross over the viaduct to get a good idea of the grandeur of Sao Paulo. It’s the perfect place to take photos because of it’s architectural style, Art Nouveau, but also because the tallest building in Brazil (Palace W. Zarzur) is right next door. • Many stalls selling various things during the day, you have to be careful, because especially the night is a little dangerous

  • The viaduct it is possible to see how does Sao Paulo. Close to the subway and the Church of St. Benedict, there are great options for stalls for snacks. The location is not the most secure, so attention to belong to avoid burglaries and thefts.

  • The viaduct has an interesting view of downtown São Paulo, but anything beyond that. In the part of the day is always packed with people, mainly hawkers.
