Home to various museums and monuments, Parque Ibirapuera is one of the city’s most important recreational and cultural areas. This green area features sprawling areas designated for picnicking, jogging, cycling, and walking. The park’s importance to the city, locals claim, is comparable to that of Central Park to the residents of New York City. One of Latin America’s largest urban parks, the site opened in 1954 to mark the 400th anniversary of the city. Many of the park’s buildings were designed by famed architect Oscar Niemeyer, while the landscaped green zones were planned by agronomist Otávio Agusto de Teixeira Mendes. The park is home to the Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Contemporary Art, and the iconic Obelisk of Sao Paolo, symbol of Brazil’s Constitutional Revolution. We visited the Ibirapuera park on Shrove Monday, so the park was very packed with people. Entrance fee for a car was R11. A lot of coconut stands for R9 each. Public bathrooms are available as well...

Nice park with lot of area and lake This park is very big and you can spend whole day here with family, friends, kids. You can ride cycle here by own or can take on rent by given 10 Real. Lot of sports place also in the park. Lot of stalls ate there for water ,cold drink ,chips and popcorn etc for eating. Lot of trees are there and some trees are very big in size. People's are coming here to spend time with family kids or friends. Aldo they can do picnic and get-together here. Some birds are there in the lake and you can feel peace by sitting nearby lake and see the beauty of nature. Kids enjoyed a lot of in this park. Police are also inside the park for safety and outside the park also.

This is a nice park! It has dukes, lakes, and quietness. You have many clean toilets, and my favorite a lot of sellers selling iced coconut water. They have special machines where they pour the coconut and iced coconut water comes out of it, delicious! You can also rent a bike, I did that today, and it was awesome, it costs 10 reais per hour, spent two hours on the park on the bike, like 4-5 round trips (20km), it was perfect! It also has a museum on black heritage, but I didn’t visit it.

Ibirapuera isn't referred to as one of the best urban parks in the world for no reason. In the heart of a city of 20 million lies a beautiful tranquil respite from the surrounding madness. Like NYC Central Park but cleaner, it's large enough that it never feels crowded despite being maybe the most popular destination in SP for locals and tourists alike. In addition to loads of trails, ponds, streams, and playgrounds there is also a concert hall, museum, and loads of street vendors selling delicious food. An absolute must-see for anyone visiting Sao Paulo.

Lovely place to spend a few hours wandering around. There are a few monuments to see. Plenty of places for respite whether that's sitting in the shade having a picnic or using one of the many vendors around the park. If you like to run there are several running tracks ranging from 1.5 to 6km

Great public park. Probably the best in the city. Well maintained and quite safe. Large enough for walks, runs, of bike rides. Good place for a picnic. Several food and drink options. Limited parking.
