The park is dotted with clean lakes fit for swimming, but one of the best highlights is the spectacular view of the city below. The city of Sao Paulo is really big and really nice places to meet hide. One of those places is the parque estadual da Cantareira. Place pretty well taken care of, very good trails for a contact with nature, all well signposted. A great exercise for a weekend. And you can still enjoy a wonderful view of a large part of Sao Paulo in big rock. It's worth stretching over 3 km and meet the Lake of carp. The entrance has a cost of R $14.00, but definitely worth the place as a whole and including body aches after so many ups and downs in the 10 km walk. If you are already on a physical level, gives even to walk other trails besides I quoted above. Good fun!

The Parque Estadual da Cantareira-Engordador core is really a pleasant surprise for those who are looking for a place to relax next to Sao Paulo. Tucuruvi subway, just take a bus (2023-waterfall), and after about 1 hour drive you can get down right next to the entrance to the Park. Admission is real, 13 students and seniors pay half price. There is no snack bars around, so the ideal is to get lunch from home and have a picnic. Sites for that. The Park is very well maintained and well signposted. To cool off, there is a trail (3 km round trip) that leads to the waterfalls. It is not very difficult and can be done with children. Just take care with some parts more slippery. For those who don't want to get in the water, there are also other tracks, including one for the practice of mountain biking. For those who go by car, there is parking, which is also paid. The Park is open on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
