4.3
#30 of 106 in Museums in Sao Paulo
Showcasing paintings and sculptures of a distinguished Lithuanian-born artist who made his home in Brazil in 1923, Museu Lasar Segall contains nearly every work he created during his life in this country. The museum was founded in 1967 by Segall’s wife and children, and is housed in the family’s former residence, which has been carefully conserved to protect the spirit of the artist’s creative process. You can take a free guided tour or attend a brief course in Segall’s lesser-known areas of creativity, such as engraving and photography. The building also contains a library, a small movie theater, and a coffee shop. Drop in to learn about the work of this Modernist artist who transformed Brazilian art with his revolutionary use of color and lighting. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Sao Paulo holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Museu Lasar Segall and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

This museum is located in what was the House and workshop of the artist. It is interesting to learn about the history of this artist but deficient in the number of works of art of the same.

Small museum, you can't even get tired. The exhibitions are very interesting. There are works by Lasar Segall. A beautiful garden to enjoy a good cup of coffee. It's free, near the Santa Cruz Metro station. This means it's a program that's worth it. Recommend super!

This museum is very special! The artist's House is home to the collection of his works, as well as temporary exhibitions. At the moment there is the exhibition of drawings from the collection of the Mapfre. In addition to admire the works exhibited, it is possible to take a delicious café, situated in the garden of the residence. Staff kind and can answer you and guides you. It's worth coming back in different periods.

The Museum is a privileged space from the surroundings. A lot of afforestation and a set of modern art amazing architecture! Internally has an exhibition of Segall and other alternatives. Is a small but pleasant garden with bench to rest and read amidst sculptures by Segall. Really good coffee which also serves meals.

Federal Museum with space for important temporary exhibitions in addition to displaying some of the works by Lasar Segall. The street is quiet and just Park in front. It features gardens for contemplation with some sculptures, cafeteria, courses and cinema with films out of the loop.
