  • The monastery of São Bento is beautiful with a reverent and austere air. A place that exudes history from your walls and stained glass Windows. The climax takes place on Sundays because of the Mass of the monks at 10:00. The mass is celebrated at the sound of Gregorian chant accompanied by pipe organ and on the last Sunday of each month still has the Brunch at refectory of the monastery.

  • The pistachio cake of the São Bento monastery is one of the most amazing things I've ever bought and ate here. The cake isn't cheap, costs almost $ 100, but yields too much and is to serve, because it's heavy. Serve with vanilla ice cream. The hint!

  • If you're not close to Catholicism, it is a very impressive construction, has a cute environment, it is not as old but is very nice. Recommended 100%

  • I love to go there from time to time. Extremely charming interiors and a real peaceful emotion. The community of monks praying several times a day gives the opportunity to joint them and to enter their quiet existence of praise. Pope Benedict XVI stayed here during his visit in Brazil in 2007. Recommended to tourists and do not forget the Sao Bento bread!
  • Recomento o canto gregoriano
  • one of the most beautiful churches in Sao Paulo. I absolutely love every detail of its architecture. The monks sing Gregorian chants during some of the ceremonies.
  • Beautiful church with stained glass, elaborate painting on walls and ceiling and intricate architecture. The chants during the evening service are sublime!
  • Superb and Gorgeous. This monastery was built to protect a huge gold treasure in the 1600's. ****
