  • Has a beautiful architecture, is well preserved and hosts major religious events in the city. Worth the visit.

  • The media coverage, I found that the little Prince would be more complete and interesting. However, thanks for the visit to the monastery of fact.

  • The monastery is part of a complex with faculty, school of the Benedictine monks and stands in the square of the same name, the architecture was based on the 17-century churches despite the building being from the beginning of the 20 century. The external clock is German manufacturing and installed in 1921, and maintains accuracy even today. I had the opportunity to hear another attraction of this monastery is the chime of bells in tune, playing in full hours and in fractions, internally has a German organ has four manuals and pedal and 6000 pipes. Who passing through the underpass santa efigenia going to the famous March 25 pass compulsorily opposite the monastery, is only a down payment to admire the works of art even if it's not Catholic, if you want to take the subway take line 1 and jump on the são bento station which is very close to the monastery. It is forbidden taking photos and filming, but nicely and without flash if you can make a record.

  • I love to go there from time to time. Extremely charming interiors and a real peaceful emotion. The community of monks praying several times a day gives the opportunity to joint them and to enter their quiet existence of praise. Pope Benedict XVI stayed here during his visit in Brazil in 2007. Recommended to tourists and do not forget the Sao Bento bread!
  • Recomento o canto gregoriano
  • There's a nice small cafe offering bakery made by the monks.
  • one of the most beautiful churches in Sao Paulo. I absolutely love every detail of its architecture. The monks sing Gregorian chants during some of the ceremonies.
  • Beautiful church with stained glass, elaborate painting on walls and ceiling and intricate architecture. The chants during the evening service are sublime!
