This group, memorialized in stone, pays homage to a strange history that makes Portugal proud and Spain wince. The brave Bandeirantes were men from different nations who formed a team whose mission included fighting their way into wild territories to claim land for the Portuguese crown. A blend of mercenaries, explorers, soldiers, and curious adventurers, these men helped forge the way for Brazil to become an independent nation. • The sculpture is monumental and imposing, full force reminding the pioneers of this huge and wonderful country. The work is a celebration of unity, effort and a memory to the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the mission that build a nation. We must not devote much time, but it is worthwhile to understand the essence of Brazil.

  • Great statue, it pictures the adventurers who explored the interior of the country, the Bandeirantes. This statue is the most interactive statue in the city. You will find dozens of people climbing it to take pictures: incredible and dangerous.
  • Very cool monument at such a heavily used road. I especially liked the detail in the traffic lights next to the monument - they are quite funny :)
  • If you visit Sao Paulo, you must take a picture here! Close to beautiful park Ibirapuera.
  • Beautiful historical monument.
