Latin America Memorial, Sao Paulo

(4.1/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the prolific Brazilian architect, Latin America Memorial is a monument to the sociocultural and political unity of Latin America. Upon arrival, you will see a vast field of concrete, in which perfectly geometrical concrete pavilions stand alongside Niemeyer’s large, bleeding hand statue. As you explore inside, you will find galleries, an auditorium, and a library reflecting the ideas of Darcy Ribeiro, an influential cultural anthropologist, and creator of the Latin America Memorial concept. The permanent exhibition of paintings, sculpture, and folk art you will see on display represents the archetypes of Latin American cultures, not only strengthening the identity of its people, but also encouraging its creative development. The Latin America Memorial has a rotating schedule of performances and events, which enables you to join in with the celebrations of the past, present, and future of these people. • On site occur several regional and global culinary events, worth checking out the food trucks, food containers and the like, several craft beers and women help to create a mix of styles and cultural diversity. Get your pet and enjoy the attractions.

  • Super cool place to visit both alone as well as in family. Has exposure, art and library. Are mounting the Castle Ra Tim Bum next! So to get a day and visit the 2! I visited the castle in MIS-Museum of image and sound in São Paulo it's been a few years but I remember cheese was super nice, very cute even.

  • Parking is great, but the price doesn't condis with informed by the website of the event. The website says 10 first hour and other 5. In 25 local price closed. There are options of food containers, as well aruumado and style with tables. Don't expect it to be cheap. About the exhibition calls attention at the entrance to the imposing Castle. But it doesn't have as main focus young children. thematic rooms with scale models, clothing and original objects used in the recordings. sketches and stories of the episodes. Videos and testimonials of the actors. And sites that take you to imagine that this recording. The high point and wait (queue) is morgana's room. Will not much enthusiasm in the small, but rather in the great who had in your childhood or adolescence contact with the program. CComoa most expensive entry costs 20.00 worth seeing. Doesn't spend hours to go through everything with calm

  • Most of the things were closed. Good place for taking pictures. I enjoyed spending time in the library which has WiFi and sockets to recharge my phone and camera.
  • This place is very large it has a couple of museums and a stage where live concerts are held. The local committee organisers festivals such as chocolate festival, craft beer festival and so on. It's a nice place to hang out with your family on the weekends
  • Amazing place for expositions and events, with a huge open area and close to subway and train stations. The problem is only when is raining, there are few spots to be protected from getting wet.
  • Really a cool place to check out
  • Super lugar incrivel!
