Specialty Museum Museum
Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the prolific Brazilian architect, Latin America Memorial is a monument to the sociocultural and political unity of Latin America. Upon arrival, you will see a vast field of concrete, in which perfectly geometrical concrete pavilions stand alongside Niemeyer’s large, bleeding hand statue. As you explore inside, you will find galleries, an auditorium, and a library reflecting the ideas of Darcy Ribeiro, an influential cultural anthropologist, and creator of the Latin America Memorial concept. The permanent exhibition of paintings, sculpture, and folk art you will see on display represents the archetypes of Latin American cultures, not only strengthening the identity of its people, but also encouraging its creative development. The Latin America Memorial has a rotating schedule of performances and events, which enables you to join in with the celebrations of the past, present, and future of these people. • I went to the exhibition of the Keys and the Castle Ra tim Bum. great place with on-site parking R $25.00. Everything was well organized. Went on a Wednesday night and had several options of food trucks (pastel, churros, milkshake, hamburger, French fries, Arabic ...) and place to sit.

  • The Memorial of Latin America is a big and well organized space in SP for events, exhibitions and primarily related to Latin immigrants in Brazil. I went to a Latin-themed party and tasted Colombian, Venezuelan foods among others, was really nice and everything very organized. There's always something there, it's worth the visit.

  • A great place to keep in mind when you are in São Paulo. They always open great exhibitions, promote food and music festivals.
  • Excelent cultural site. If you like to get a deeper understand about Latin culture is were you should go.
  • Great place to take your family to taste Latin American food and check other culture.
  • Great place to spend the weekend when there´s a food or beer selection festival. This happens at least once in a month i think.
  • Awesome multipurpose venue. Monuments, art gallery, the building itself (Niemeyer's design), open air parties, runs... Everything happens in and around here.
