Latin America Memorial, Sao Paulo
(4.1/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, the prolific Brazilian architect, Latin America Memorial is a monument to the sociocultural and political unity of Latin America. Upon arrival, you will see a vast field of concrete, in which perfectly geometrical concrete pavilions stand alongside Niemeyer’s large, bleeding hand statue. As you explore inside, you will find galleries, an auditorium, and a library reflecting the ideas of Darcy Ribeiro, an influential cultural anthropologist, and creator of the Latin America Memorial concept. The permanent exhibition of paintings, sculpture, and folk art you will see on display represents the archetypes of Latin American cultures, not only strengthening the identity of its people, but also encouraging its creative development. The Latin America Memorial has a rotating schedule of performances and events, which enables you to join in with the celebrations of the past, present, and future of these people. • Without doubt the Memorial is a great exhibition space. Place large, well-located and also has parking for who will drive. I've been to the Festival of Churros and ice cream, and unfortunately there was no wisdom on the part of Admins, that even with the forecast of rain for days, not prepared and it was pretty empty.

  • Good place to learn new things, or practise leisure. Large enough to hold several different themed attractions. Worth the time spent.

  • Amazing this place, a space for art and for the history of our country. It's very nice when a place surpasses your expectations, the Memorial of Latin America.

  • Most of the things were closed. Good place for taking pictures. I enjoyed spending time in the library which has WiFi and sockets to recharge my phone and camera.
  • This place is very large it has a couple of museums and a stage where live concerts are held. The local committee organisers festivals such as chocolate festival, craft beer festival and so on. It's a nice place to hang out with your family on the weekends
  • Amazing place for expositions and events, with a huge open area and close to subway and train stations. The problem is only when is raining, there are few spots to be protected from getting wet.
  • Really a cool place to check out
  • Super lugar incrivel!
