3.3/5 based on 85+ reviews on the web
Brazilian Museum of Sculpture, or 'MuBE,' promotes art from a whole range of mediums, including sculpture, painting, photography, graffiti, drawing, music, and cinema. Designed by architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, and complemented by a garden designed by Burle Marx, the museum is itself is as much part of the exhibitions as the art they contain. Rather than construct a free standing building, overlapping concrete slabs create both the underground inside spaces and overground plaza and esplanade, provide shade, seating, and access to the lower levels, merging interior and exterior and blending form and function. • Nice place, with a rather peculiar architecture and with very interesting exhibits. It's too bad it's not as well known by the public because admission is free and is very accessible.

  • A museum different from the traditional, open environment and with a large outdoor area for outdoor exhibition, with a brutalist architecture with easy access.

  • Excellent event space with good acoustics, cool and inspiring environment. Touches of art are part of the details that make this location very good for events
