Brazilian Museum of Sculpture, Sao Paulo

(3.3/5 based on 90+ reviews on the web)
Brazilian Museum of Sculpture, or 'MuBE,' promotes art from a whole range of mediums, including sculpture, painting, photography, graffiti, drawing, music, and cinema. Designed by architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha, and complemented by a garden designed by Burle Marx, the museum is itself is as much part of the exhibitions as the art they contain. Rather than construct a free standing building, overlapping concrete slabs create both the underground inside spaces and overground plaza and esplanade, provide shade, seating, and access to the lower levels, merging interior and exterior and blending form and function. • I went to visit the Museum at the top has a beautiful garden, beautiful sculptures and an imposing building. Inside the museum space and big, visitation was a noise exposure. Worth the visit, but come prepared, because if the search view various sculptures, unfortunately you will not find.

  • Went on a Monday and I couldn't get in to see the environments. But, I was able to walk in the courtyard and admire the great will of Paulo Mendes da rocha. Loved it! There's another side to Museum worth checking out! As it is close to the rua augusta, it's worth going after and check out some more!

  • Great space for exhibitions which are always free. At that location there is a café serving snacks. There is also a theater that offers performances with good cost-benefit.
