Agua Branca Park, Sao Paulo

(4.1/5 based on 800+ reviews on the web)
Under a canopy of some 3,000 different species of trees, you can take a peaceful stroll around Agua Branca Park, often accompanied by its free-range chickens, peacocks, and cats. As you walk, you will come across the shaded tables designated for reading, the riding school, and the picnic area, which is the perfect place to enjoy your purchases from the weekly, organic market held in the park. Historically built as a place for agricultural studies--the park still has an aquarium, home to native species including carp and turtles--the priority of Agua Branca Park now is recreation, and as such, is a tranquil escape from the rush of São Paulo. A visit to Agua Branca Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Sao Paulo vacation planner to plot your vacation.

  • You can get to this park easily using public transport like metro, bus and train. We normally go there on Sundays with our 3 year-old boy who loves running after the chickens and ducks. Besides them, ...  more »
  • This Park is different in many ways from the parks that met in Sao Paulo. It was designed to be a Centre for the development of agricultural activity, especially for exhibition of animals. With a large number of Norman-style buildings, are formed throughout your area wooded lanes invite you to a pleasant walk, especially in these hot summer days. By the way, crossed with roosters, chickens and ducks that are free to the demand for food by picking up jandins very well looked after and composed of a great variety of plants and trees, which guarantee the freshness of all the environment. There's room for all sorts of activity without age-restriction of reading playing on the playground, of visits to the Aquarium to take a delicious coconut water, walking apace to relax in a nice conversation in various spaces available, or it all in the same visit, having the opportunity to spend an entire day, entertaining yourself with everything that the site offers. Worth knowing this little corner of Sampa.

  • An eclectic Park with animals-turkeys, chickens, ducks loose; children love but the terrain is rough and needs care. There's a pretty Lake. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, if I'm not mistaken, there is a fair of organic products very busy. Worth knowing
