  • The Museum is located in a discreet House in the historical centre of São Luís. There is a clear signal that there is the Museum so it takes care not to pass straight through the entrance. The space is divided in 3 floors, on the ground floor there is a bookstore, temporary exhibitions and exhibition on vessels of Maranhão. On the upper floor there is an exhibition on handmade toys, cultural movements of the Maranhão State and indigenous art. On the third floor there is the main part of the Museum, tells the story of That, great artist that despite his physical limitations, never stopped producing. There is accessibility for wheelchair users and reform is needed in the House.

  • This museum holds items really nice brazilian culture. I had been monitoring guide explaining about indigenous items, Northeastern, afros and the history of the Sinhozinho. More Brazilian than entered.

  • Nhozinho (Antony Bruno Pinto Nogueira) was an artist and blind in one eye that, amazingly, fashioned miniature handicrafts so perfect as worthy of the cultural point of view in the region. Notable miniature parts of bumba-meu-boi! A rare degenerative disease was destroying its members and yet produced wonders! He died in 1974, at the age of 70 years. Keeping the proportions, this craftsman recalls the great Aleijadinho!!!

  • Achei interessante !!!!
  • Local muito bonito.
