Forte Marechal Luz, Sao Francisco do Sul
(4.5/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web)
Forte Marechal Luz presents both a maritime history lesson and a convenient spot for family photographs with the coastline of Santa Catarina as a natural background. This fort, which was built in 1909 on the site of an earlier military structure (once used for harbor defense by the early Portuguese settlers), sits on the tip of João Dias Hill, from the top of which an unobstructed view of the northern coast opens up. The fort is currently maintained by the Brazilian navy, and you can visit it when you climb a short trail from the small beach located just below the hill. • The Fort is an attraction for its part history, for the wonderful view from the top of the Hill on which a British Vickers guns and a small museum that holds the information of the performances of this former Military institution and that today is colonia Military vacation, but open to the general public during the day with free access. Riddle next to a beautiful beach of clear waters, quiet and good temperature, ideal to spend pleasant moments with your family. It's worth it.

  • The strong field marshal in addition to its importance and history during its years of activity, today as camp from the military but open to the public daily. Has a fantastic view from the top of the hill that protects the coast and ume small museum that preserves the history of those facilities. It's worth it.

  • Military base, charge 2.00 per person to climb due to the Museum to be at the top, a museum that I personally didn't think it's worth, the cool thing is to see the strong and cannons, the eyes not worth it. But I think that has to be visited, after all you don't have much choice in the city.
