  • Has a collection well Rico and mediated a visit well didactic, which is not limited to the history of the convent. Very good for those interested in the history of Catholicism. But it's a long tour which can become tiresome.

  • Had visited the Museum of sacred art more than 20 years ago, return there was find a space more organized and with a much more evident with the pieces of art. The environment, the former Franciscan convent, is cosy, the pieces are identified and protected behind glass. There is an altar that can be visited, but, unfortunately, the Church of San Francisco can only be seen through a window. So I didn't give five stars. There should be a visitation of the Church, even if this were charged admission. Another thing the score is that the Ordinance satisfies everyone so very warm, providing information, including, nor were requested, but the tab was on duty is bureaucratic and seem little interested in what you're doing, you want to finish soon. That sucks, especially for those with no prior knowledge of what you will see, but it was the Guide on duty, I hope there are other.

  • The Museum has the third largest collection of sacred art in the country, stayed behind the Museum of Sacred Art of Sao Paulo and Salvador. Has pieces dating from the late 17th century to the mid-20th century. Has an incredible collection of Marian images and paint lining the Chapel is beautiful despite being somewhat hampered due to the lack of conservation. The work of the primary guides to understand more regional aspects on the history of some parts and the religious customs of the region. However, lack of better training on art history. Much more than a Museum of religious images, the museu de arte sacra de São Cristóvão gives us with a real history lesson about Brazil.
